Games with Gold is back for the month of March in the year that is 2022 and I predicted a big month for Games with Gold after last months horrible offering, but seems I was not correct.
Despite numerous possible big oldie titles that could have been offered this month was still a bit of a letdown but as someone pointed out in the video comments, if you can find one game in Games with Gold these days that you'll play then it's a win!
So with that mentality in mind lets take a look, also note the Games with Gold Xbox One, 360 and Video lists have been updated.
The Flame in the Flood
This one by far appeared to be the fan favourite and that's not a massive shock anything with survival or crafting seems to do very well... this has both of those elements as well as a beautiful look to it.
The game is well reviewed on the Xbox Marketplace with only one reviewer noting that the game was tedious, most noted it was surprisingly dark but a good play through.
Street Power Soccer
An arcade style soccer (sigh, football, always football!) game with a focus on what appears to be indoor football, but it's not likely to appeal to most it's review scores are fairly horrible with one comical review reading like so
Cinsra wroteThis looks like the 3v3 F2P basketball game but they threw down a couple of $2 hockey goal unity assets. Drunk gang beast with 3 broken buttons plays better.
This could be decent for some 1on1 couch stuff but anything beyond that is probably going to blow, again according to reviews.
Sacred 2 Fallen Angel
Seems to be a top down adventure game and probably the only thing most people will need to know is this one is from developers Deep Silver, the reviews score for this game on the Xbox Market place is quite high and the only common comment is that the game looks dated and based on what's shown in the video - that looks to be the case but if you can peep past the pixels .. could be a really good game.. seems you can be good or evil too so ..
SpongeBob’s Truth or Square
A 3d Platformer from seemingly everyones favourite under wearing sponge, SpongeBob square pants, the games trailers is quite creepy looking and the animations do it little favours to present it as a kids game but it is for a younger audience and reviews suggest the game is decent enough averaging about 3 stars.
So that's the month of March, I suspect I will end up playing 2 of these games, The Flame in the Flood and Street Power Soccer - I expect one of those to be a quick dabble because Fifa makes me want to vomit and then will be quickly uninstalled...
What will you be playing?
