Tekken is back on television, once again as an animated series but this time with the backing of media giant Netflix, Tekken had has a bit of a mixed bag with it's movies and tv offerings - the 2009 film making something like 1.5 million return on a 30 million investment speaking massive volumes - Netflix has done well recently with it's animated stuff like Transformers War for Cybertron so hopefully they can nail the right narrative for what is a really fun and weird story told throughout the games thus far...
The youtube comments so far seem to be quite happy aside from a few being a little meh on the voice of Heihachi as its not "deep enough" which given how he's normally portrayed it seems a fair argument - in terms of what the story is.. a lot are leaning into it being close the to Tekken 3 storyline while others suggest it's 3, 4 and a little 5.
I'm not a huge Teklken player myself, the game is far far too beyond my capabilities (button bashing) but I was always a fan of Yoshimitsu as a character
