Fall Guys was a massive success when not was released, it was going up against Among Us for that username that just flocks to the latest craze and of course streamers loved the game! Those of us that were on platforms other than Playstation or PC were left looking at the game with a little bit sadness as it looked like a ton of fun but was not available for our platforms.
Sadly the cheaters got themselves into games and the hype died off when the game became more about find and stop the cheater (by the users) rather than the development side of things.. sometimes it worked out but most the time the cheaters if careful could take home golden eggs with little difficulty.
A surprise today greeted many inboxes and social media sites as not only was Fall guys coming to Xbox and the Epic game store, it was also coming to the Switch which is great for on the go gaming against friends and it will have cross play enabled so at least in my house it means we can "team up" aka screw each other over!
I do suspect the game will be a ton of fun but of course, it does ask the question of if this game coming just a little too late to the party? It was locked to Stream/Playstation for a good deal of time and the game had lost much of it's buzz (although we were discussing Fall Guys in our house only the other day how it'd be fun to play but its not on our favoured console (we have a PS4 Pro but purely for collecting games of interest, we don't pay for online connectivity)
I'm fairly certain the game will do well for the first few months and IF they can keep the cheaters away perhaps capture a little of that old magic of only a few years ago...
