Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification.
Story
You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.
Become an urban outlaw equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City.
Night City is packed to the brim with things to do, places to see, and people to meet. And it’s up to you where to go, when to go, and how to get there.
Go on daring adventures and build relationships with unforgettable characters whose fates are shaped by the choices you make.
Main(ish) Characters
Cyberpunk2077 has a lot of characters that you can interactive with as little as or as much as you wish - as such it’s very likely that your favourite character is missing from this list, you’re more than welcome and encouraged to write up a little about the character as we have done with this list and if suitable we will include it (with a link ref to the post/your profile)

V
V is the character you play as, by default the game provides two versions of V - a female or male voiced version, however the game does not limit you gender-wise. V is a (depending on your life choice) a nomad/street wise kid/corpo - either choice results in the same basic outcome, you pull a job or get screwed over in some way and end up doing merc jobs with your best friend Jackie Welles - V eventually does a job with Jackie leading to Johnny Silverhands construct in his head, slowly taking over his/her brain.
Johnny Silverhand
Johnny was the lead singer of the rock group Samurai and according to a quick google was once in the armed forces, Johnny is hotheaded and tends to protest any form of corporate elements, which did eventually lead to his initial death as his brain was pushed into ‘the relic’ Johnny as part of a bungled theft by V and Jackie now resides in V’s head and is slowly killing him and depending on Johnny’s mood is either fine with killing V or dead set on sort of helping V
Jackie Welles
Jackie sadly as we know from the trailers bit the dust early on but prior to this Jackie was good friends with V and they went on a ton of Merc jobs together until Jackie himself is fatally injured during the big heist which leads to his death.
Dexter DeShawn
Dexter is a fixer, apparently he was once a big time fixer but left Night City before eventually returning and working with Jackie and V, Dexter ends up putting a bullet into V’s dome which leads to the events above with Johnny
Evelyn Parker
Evelyn is/was a former doll and is the one looking to setup the job, she herself was apparently pushed to do the job by the Voodoo boys, Evelyn is good friends with Judy but all in all nothing ends even remotely well for Evelyn.
Judy Alvarez
Judy is good friends with Evelyn and even tries to talk her out of the job, she was a member of the Mox and seems to be the resident techie for Lizzie’s Bar - depending on how you play things, she can be female V’s lover or just a really good friend to male V
Rogue Amendiares
Rogue is perhaps the fixer in Night City, she is also a former lover of Johnny and helped him pull his attack on Arasaka Tower, Rogue is knowledgeable, strategic and seems to have her finger on the pulse of Night City, she is also the one that introduces you to Panam
Panam Palmer
Panam has a rough relationship with her group/family the Aldecaldos, mostly due to her irritation with how the leader Saul runs things and his frustration with her going off half-cocked and making unilateral decisions. Panam initially doesn’t care much for V, she just wants her vehicle and goods back - but if you work with her she eventually comes around and becomes perhaps V’s strongest ally
