Sniffer Confirmed for Minecraft 1.20 Release
Mojang have confirmed that the Sniffer will be part of the Minecraft 1.20 release, this is the second major confirmed feature to be added to the game after Mojang also confirmed that archeology will finally be added to the game officially.

So far we don’t know much about the Sniffer other than what was discussed on the official confirmation post which boils down to:
- They are big, ancient and roamed the overworld once upon a time
- They hatch from eggs and start out as a baby
- They are able to ‘sniff out’ ancient seeds, which when planted will result in growing a decretive plant, these are not in the game yet.
- The Ai isn’t finished yet so while it is coming to snapshots via creative mode, it’s not quite finished yet.
So the Sniffer will be joining the new bamboo blocks/crafting, The camel and now archeology in what is shaping up to be an interesting release - no signs of anything portal related in the ancient city and no signs of any form of update to address storage/inventory concerns - although the bundle is likely to debut but as of yet is not confirmed.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord comes to Gamepass
This one seemingly came out of nowhere with Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord now on Xbox Game Pass (for console) The game allows you to create a character and then set out on your own journey, joining epic battles, perform trades, meet new companions and as stated in the official description … carve out your own kingdom!
Dead Island 2 coming earlier than expected
I first noticed this on Rock Paper Shotgun and while it’s a shock to even be seeing Dead Island 2 coming at all within my own lifetime but to know that its not only coming soon but also is now confirmed as coming a week early
Additionally as per the article linked above on Rock Paper Shotgun the game has already gone gold, the original game is a lot to live up to but I think its fair to say that most people will be looking at Dead Island 2 with a bet of skepticism and a little bit of hope… gamers have been burned a fair amount in the past few years by half assed games released with an apology and a promise of updates

Some of these did eventually became what was promised .. Cyberpunk2077, No Mans Sky but I think most of us are looking at a game that took 10 years to arrive after persistent delays and then on top of that arrived out the blue (after being mocked by Goat Simulator of all things)
Personally no plans to pre-order but hopeful that reviews will suggest its got promise, seems like the release date has quickly become a joke in the industry tho with Kotaku also going with:
“Dead Island 2, Due In 2015, Now ‘Coming Out A Week Early’”
CD Projekt Red fixing “issue” with The Witcher 3
Thankfully this was reported on Eurogamer so I have evidence this is not some bat shit crazy story I personally made up.
Kotaku (who else) originally reported on the story that The Witcher 3 new and updated version for next generation included “realistic vaginas” and seems this was not part of the plan for the remake and was not in the original game so it’s something the developers are keen to fix, after they introduced it.
The original article quotes some spokesman who says:
CD Projekt Red Random Spokesman via Kotaku wrote“The next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt features several community-sourced mods not created by CD Projekt Red, on top of numerous enhancements created and implemented by the studio internally,”
The fact that this managed to make its way into the game is fairly dumb and does suggest that CDPR have not learned a lesson about quality control but hey they are fixing it so no realistic vaginas for all in the next release.

Trailers
Well not a huge amount of trailers today but we got a few decent ones, firstly a new trailer for Lies of P from the IGN fan fest which you can find here
Voidtrain also looks like it could be fun and finally we have Mia and the Dragon which could be huge depending on story, its one of those live action choice driven games which have shown up surprisingly infrequently of late
You can of course find those trailers and many more in the trailers tag https://joolo.net/t/game-trailers and that pretty much ends todays breakdown, lots of news still uncovered by sadly the day is getting closer to ending - tomorrows breakdown will likely be done via the blog directly - let us know if you think thats a good, bad or indifferent idea!
